Statement on Personal-Data Protection

1. Purposes and legal basis of processing personal data
   1. Information provided through “Careers” pages. Your personal data are used to evaluate your application for job offers within the GIRO Group and to contact you for this purpose. We process your personal data for the legitimate interest of GIRO Group (recruitment). Your personal data are not subject to automated decision-making.
   2. Information provided through “Contact Us” page. Your personal data are used within the GIRO Group to process and reply to your request and to contact you for this purpose. We process your personal data for the legitimate interest of GIRO Group (external request management). Your personal data are not subject to automated decision-making.

2. Personal-data recipients
   1. Information provided through “Careers” pages. In order to perform the aforementioned purposes, we might communicate your personal data to collaborators in all GIRO Group entities who participate in the recruitment process and/or to external providers to whom the recruitment process has been outsourced.
   2. Information provided through “Contact Us” page. In order to perform the aforementioned purposes, we might communicate your personal data to collaborators in all GIRO Group entities who participate in the process of replying to general inquiries.
   3. Hosting of personal data. Your personal data are hosted in Canada, which is deemed to offer a sufficient level of data protection according to European Commission Decision 2002/2/EC.

3. Transfer of personal data
   Your personal data may be transferred to countries where GIRO Group entities operate which (i) are deemed to offer a sufficient level of data protection according to the European Commission or (ii) provide a sufficient level of protection because of the following safeguard(s)in place: legally binding instrument.

   1. Information provided through “Careers” pages. Your personal data will not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which the data has been collected or as provided by applicable regulation.
   2. Information provided through “Contact Us” page. Your personal data will not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which the data has been collected or as provided by applicable regulation.

5. Your rights
   In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the following rights: 

• To access: You can obtain information relating to the processing of your personal data, and a copy of such personal data.
• To rectify: Where you consider that your personal data are inaccurate or incomplete, you can require that such personal data be modified accordingly.
• To erase: You can require the deletion of your personal data, to the extent permitted by law.
• To restrict: You can request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
• To data portability: Where legally applicable, you have the right to have the personal data provided to us be returned to you or, where technically feasible, transferred to a third party.
• To object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time to the extent we process your personal data for the purposes of our legitimate interest and/or of direct marketing.
